Creative Expression Meets Emotional Growth
The CARE Project offers a full spectrum of arts-based and social-emotional programs designed for kids and teens who thrive outside traditional sports and academic environments. Every program is intentional, structured, and rooted in creativity, confidence-building, and emotional wellness.
Our programs are divided into two pathways:
-
Creative Arts Programs – to nourish imagination, expression, and identity
-
Social-Emotional Development Programs – to strengthen communication, regulation, confidence, and relationships
Together, they help young people feel seen, safe, supported, and empowered.
How CARE Helps Kids Thrive
Creative Expression & Identity Development
CARE programs give young people a safe space to explore who they are. Whether through art, writing, theatre, or digital media, students learn to express their thoughts, emotions, and ideas in healthy, empowering ways. This creative freedom helps them build a strong sense of identity, confidence, and personal voice.
Social Connection & Friendship Building
Through small-group activities and collaborative projects, students build meaningful relationships with peers who share similar interests. Programs like The Stage Stars and Friendship Factory help kids practice communication, teamwork, and empathy—skills that support long-term social success and a greater sense of belonging.
Emotional Regulation & Coping Skills
With support from trained staff, students learn how to understand and manage their emotions. Programs like The Feelings Lab integrate mindfulness, reflective art, and emotional expression to help youth develop coping strategies they can rely on at home, school, and in daily life.
Skill-Building & Hands-On Learning Opportunities
From filmmaking and photography to leadership projects and performance showcases, CARE students get real-world, transferable skills. These hands-on experiences help them strengthen creativity, literacy, problem-solving, and digital fluency—preparing them for future academic, social, and career opportunities.
Confidence, Leadership & Personal Growth
CARE programs are intentionally designed to build students’ confidence and self-esteem. As they create, perform, share ideas, and take on leadership roles, participants learn to trust themselves, advocate for their needs, and take pride in their achievements—important life skills that carry into every area of their lives.
A Safe, Supportive & Inclusive Community
Everything at CARE is built around emotional safety, acceptance, and encouragement. Students who may feel overlooked in sports or traditional classrooms finally have a place where they’re valued for who they are. This nurturing community helps them feel secure enough to take creative risks, connect deeply, and grow at their own pace.
